“Oper für alle”
Zum ersten Mal überträgt das Opernhaus Zürich unter dem Motto «Oper für alle» eine Aufführung live auf Grossleinwand und verwandelt den neu gestalteten Sechseläutenplatz in ein Freiluftparkett. In Kooperation mit der Zürich Versicherung lädt das Opernhaus ab 2014 jedes Jahr alle Interessierten herzlich ein zu einem kostenlosen Opernerlebnis. Den Anfang macht am 21. Juni Tatjana Gürbacas gefeierte Rigoletto-Inszenierung.

Photographer Oscar Ruíz partnered with Publicis Mexico for an awareness-raising campaign called Erase the Differences with a very simple message: to cast a light on community development issues and inequality in Mexico.
Of the confronting photo series, he ways: ‘This image has not been modified. It’s time to change that’.

Workers learn how to embroider and make clothes for dolls, at a workshop in Kandahar run by an NGO that aims to help local women empower themselves.
The people of Afghanistan have had to deal with conflict and military occupation for much of the past 50 years. Conflict and long-term instability in Afghanistan have led to personal trauma, and severe economic and infrastructural damage. Foreign aid has helped support various initiatives to improve infrastructure and education, but as occupation forces withdraw and Western economies face their own difficulties, funds to NGOs are being cut.
